Founded in 1939, we have been taking care of our customers’ financial future for 70 years. We are proud to be part of the Irish Life & Permanent group of companies, one of Ireland’s largest and most successful financial organisation and the market leader in provision of life, pension and investment products.
Irish Life Retail uses a variety of distribution channels including a network of supporting independent intermediaries, a 200 strong direct sales force, 175 franchises and the branch network of permanent tsb. In addition, our products are provided on a wholesale basis into the branch network of a number of other financial institutions.

Relentless Pursuit of Customer Satisfaction
Intouch Customer 1st is Irish Life’s Customer Satisfaction programme. The programme aims to find out what is important to our customer and to do these things as well as we possibly can. Each month we conduct customer satisfaction research as part of our ongoing commitment to improve our customer service standards. An independent market research company carries out this research on our behalf.
Because financial products can be complicated and difficult to understand, we are committed to using clear and straightforward language in all our customer communications. We work with Plain English Campaign, an independent company who specialise in testing the text and layout of our documents to make sure that all our customer communications meet the highest standards of clarity, openness and honesty. In 2005, we became the first financial services institution in either Ireland or the UK to be awarded the Honesty Mark for its full range of product literature.

Irish Life Retail employs 1,125 people with over 750,000 customers in Ireland. Irish Life Retail is committed to the training and development of staff. Our staff are intelligent and engaged and are subject to training, retraining and continuous assessment.

The Irish Life Staff Charities was formed in 1995. Each year, Irish Life staff chose two charities and a series of events are held throughout the year to raise money. In 2010, the Staff Charities achieved the massive milestone of over €1,000,000 raised since 1995. Last year our two charities were The Gary Kelly Cancer Foundation and The Global Schoolroom, and a cheque for €85,000 was presented to both charities in December.
