Martin O’Reilly B.Sc., MRICS, ASCS – Head of Commercial Property Fund Management
Martin is a general practice chartered surveyor with over 18 years commercial property investment experience. He holds undergraduate qualifications of BSc (Surveying) from Trinity College, Dublin and Diploma in Property Economics from the Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street, Dublin.
Prior to joining Irish Life Martin worked in the property department of two major authorities in London. This involved the portfolio and asset management of leased and owner occupied properties and development sites in Central London, including property management, acquisition, disposal and development.
He joined Irish Life in 1990 where his work in the Property Investment area has ranged from the property trader role covering the purchase, letting and sale of commercial property in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe to the fund management of a number of ILIM’s Irish and UK Property Funds.
In his role up to 2007 as a Senior Property Fund Manager he was responsible for the fund and asset management of the Pension Irish Property Fund and the UK Life Property Fund.
Martin subsequently became responsible for all international property management.
Martin was appointed Head of Property Fund Management in 2008.
David Eggers B.Sc., MRICS, ASCS – UK Commercial Property Fund Manager
David joined Irish Life Investment Managers Property Fund Management team as a Senior Property Fund Manager in 2007.
David is a general practice chartered surveyor with over 14 years commercial property investment experience. In his role, David has responsibility for all aspects of the fund including the acquisition, disposal, leasing and coordination of the funds valuation's. In addition, he is responsible for initiating and delivering 'value add' strategies for fund properties. He is also responsible for the management of the funds indirect property holdings.
Prior to joining ILIM, David was a Business Development manager with ACC Bank with responsibility for property acquisition advisory in the UK. David also worked with leading firms of Chartered Surveyors in Dublin, London (City & West End) and Manchester for many years. He has wide and varied property experience (mainly focussed in the UK) including development advisory, landlord & tenant advisory, leasing, general investment advisory and many years experience of acquisition and disposal of investment properties in all property sectors.
He qualified with a BSc in Estate Management from South Bank University in London and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors.
Fergus Dowd M.A., MRICS, ASCS – Irish Commercial Property Fund Manager
Fergus qualified in Surveying from the College of Technology, Bolton Street in 1980 and worked with two leading firms of Chartered Surveyors and IDA Ireland before joining Irish Life in 1988.
His work with Irish Life has ranged from property valuations to the purchase, letting and sale of commercial property. He has been responsible for the development of office, retail and industrial properties and was involved in Irish Life's acquisition and development programme in Holland and Germany.
Fergus has worked as the Senior Property Fund Manager for the Property Life funds for a number of years.
