With today being International Women’s Day, we thought we would take a closer look at the Life Insurance and Serious Illness Claims we paid out to Women in Ireland in 2015.
Cancer was the top cause of both Life and Illness claims, with over half of all female life insurance claims being cancer related.
The average age for female Specified Illness Cover claims was 51 and the average claim paid was €61,627. For Life Insurance, the average age of female claimants was 64 and teh average claim paid was €60,880.
