I began my role as a financial advisor with Irish Life in 2008 and gained my full Diploma in Financial Advice in 2009. I have also completed a Professional Diploma in Pensions and General Insurance.
As a bank based adviser meeting customers face to face my role was to offer guidance on the best way to protect their family financially if anything was to happen to them. Offering comprehensive advice on protection benefits is my main goal with any customer and combined with knowledge on long term savings, investments and pension’s means that I can offer a Full Financial Review service should this be required. I moved to our Tele-advice team in 2010.
As a person I would describe myself as friendly and chatty and I think this helps a lot in my current role as a Tele adviser. I love that fact that each conversation I have and each person I speak to has a different story, some stories are happy and some are sad and I make sure I offer the best advice in terms of protecting the customer’s future at an affordable price. Insurance products can be difficult to understand and I really do feel a sense of accomplishment if I have managed to make a process that can be quite daunting that little bit easier. Customers also know that should anything pop up in the future I am at always at the other end of the phone.
I am a Qualified Financial Adviser working with Irish Life Financial Services. As well as a Bachelor of Business Studies I hold the professional industry qualification (QFA) which means I continuously keep my knowledge of financial products and the industry up to date. I also hold a pension diploma (RPA) and a qualification in general insurance, training and other qualifications.
I have experience working across various channels, dealing with customers within a branch setting and via the tele-advice contact centre. I’ve worked for many years dealing with customer queries on old or existing plans and advising individuals and families how best to protect their livelihoods against major life changing events, to how best to avail of returns on their hard earned incomes.
I always work to the highest professional and compliance standards with the customer to the forefront of my work, I believe financial planning is a collaborative process and each person has individual needs.
I am a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) based in our customer contact centre in Dundalk. I began my career with Irish Life in 2003 after graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Business Studies degree. I have worked in various customer service roles throughout the organisation and was founder member of the New Business Team that was set up in 2008. My role in the New Business Team was to contact customers to ensure they received all their new plan documents and are completely satisfied with their purchase. During my role in the New Business Team I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience within all areas of customer service. This has proven to be very valuable in my role as Financial Adviser.
As part of my QFA qualification requires me to constantly keep up to date with changes in legislation, financial products and the industry to date. The area I specialize in is Family Protection so this includes; Life Cover, Specified Illness Cover, Income Protection & Mortgage Protection. In this ever changing and challenging financial climate, I am always trying to better serve my customers and been a married women in my thirties with one child, I understand how providing a good financial service can make a huge difference to the future of my customers. Each of my customers have different requirements in their personal situations and it’s my job to identify their needs based on the information I gather and to understand their protection needs and to help them and their families in the event of death or a serious illness. I strive to ensure I give you the best financial advice, and to make sure you understand all the technical information in plain English and to give you peace of mind knowing that your family will be looked after for the future.
