Charity Partnerships

Charity Partners

Irish Life’s Staff Charities programme, founded in 1995, is at the heart of our giving culture. Each January, employees nominate charities close to their hearts and vote for our Charity Partners. In 2026 we introduced a new model: one long-term charity partner over three years, alongside two annual partners. From an initial €6,300 raised in 1995, Staff Charities grew to €80,000 per annum within a decade. Since 2010, Irish Life has matched all staff donations and, since 1995, over €6.24 million has been raised for charities chosen by our employees. For 2026, Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is our long-term Charity Partner, providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to seven with severe learning disabilities and complex medical needs. A Lust for Life and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are our 2026 Staff Charities, supporting youth mental health and people living with Cystic Fibrosis.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is integral to our identity as an organisation. We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual is encouraged to bring their whole self to work, feel valued, and experience a workplace where diversity of thought and perspective is truly celebrated.

We continue to embed DEI into our policies and practices where appropriate, creating the foundation for inclusion, consistency, accountability and sustainable change

    Life Matters Policies

Supporting colleagues when they need extra support, including leave for family carers, enhanced compassionate leave, support for those experiencing domestic violence and abuse, fertility, pregnancy loss, menopause and mental health support.

Our DEI Employee Resource Groups support our DEI strategy, covering Pride Life, Women@Work, Ethnicity, Family Life, Able Life, and Mind Matters. Each with dedicated senior leader sponsorship and led by passionate, committed colleagues.
