Career Progression
I started on a migration project team before moving into Pensions, where I spent a large part of my career. A key milestone was moving into Advice Solutions Strategy PMO, which gave me the opportunity to study, build my confidence and develop a more communications-focused career. It helped me find a direction that suited my strengths and set the foundations for the work I do today.
What I value about Irish Life
What I value most about working in Irish Life, outside of the people, is the support. I have been lucky to build a strong support system and have mentors throughout my time here. That support has helped me take on new roles, build skills and shape a career around my strengths and interests.
Day-to-Day Working Life
Day to day, I enjoy working with people from different areas of the business and learning from their expertise and perspectives. Irish Life also feels like a real community, with opportunities to get involved in volunteering, staff charities and activities outside your immediate role.
My Advice
My advice to anyone considering a career here would be to jump at the chance. Be open to opportunities, even if they are not part of your original plan. For me, Irish Life has been a place where I have been supported, encouraged and given the opportunity to build my career over the years.
